... It's possible to live very comfortably here on the island on $300.00 US per month.
The climate is incomparable with an average temperature of 26 Celcius and the sun shines 340 days of the year. I'm where I'm supposed to be.....this much I know!
The pictures are of the sunrise from the penthouse condo where I'm staying temporarily. Does it get more ...

Research on the ferry website reveals I am unable to get a
boat to Cumana, my preferred destination, until Sunday – thought it was low
season here but apparently not until the end of the month and this place was
certainly packed with local tourists for this evening’s paseo.

... for quality beer in quality bottles i.e. there is a
deposit of 2 per bottle to pay but you get it back when you return them. I know,
it’d the difference between 50 cents and 25 cents a bottle but it all adds up
in the long run and I hope to be in for the long run if I’m economical!!

Went up to Fortin la Galera for the sunset and good views
across this bay and the next with all the other tourists in ...

By 8am had my money changed and my new room sorted – El
Yaque Motion is a bit of a walk but worth it for proximity to the sea, helpful
owner & staff, cleanliness, value (bsf500) and facilities – a bedside light
and some hammocks would be nice but that’s just being picky!

Then off for an all you can eat buffet breakfast at Sharks
to set me up for the day. Spoke to the ticket sellers about the day trip to el
Coche but they were not hopeful ...
