Great place to stay

excellant place to stay rooms basic but very clean near to beach and shops staff very pleasant and helpful within easy reach of torromolinos nice walk along lovely prom food basic but no complaints

Chilled and realxing

My wife and I have spent our second holiday at the El Tiburon and, after spending holidays in various resorts in Spain and sampling everything from bed and breakfast to all inclusive El Tiburon remains our favourite.

The standard of the meals and accomodation far excell the ratings the travel agengies afford, although if used to large corporate run modern hotels this may be the case.

The staff are friendly and helpful and the situation of the hotel is ideal, wether you wish to visit the beach,numerous shops or in the evening the extensive choice of bars and restaurants,(especially the seafood restaurants lining the seafront).

My last recomendation is that if you are looking for a relaxing,peaceful holiday in surroundings that remind me of how a true Spanish hotel used to be look no further then El Tiburon a true oasis!!!!

Very good value for money

Spotlessly clean

Basic, but very comfortable rooms

Help yourself breafast is topped up constantly, and a good variety, though you won't get "kelloggs" or other English type brands. Our teenagers were a bit sceptical at first, but soon tucked in to a hearty breakfast that kept us going until well into the afternoon.

Lovely friendly staff and bar with happy hour!!

Nice pool and terraced area too with free sun beds.

Little hotel with a nice breakfast

I holiday on my own once or twice a year and usually like to pick a small hotel. I booked El Tiburon on Opodo and got a nice cheap price. My room was a double one. It was very clean and newly decorated. The only problem was that the heater in my room didn't appear to work and I was a bit cold at night. I lay out in the sun by the small pool which was very relaxing. The breakfast was buffet and very good value. Staff with pleasant without being falsely over-friendly. The hotel is situated in the Carihuela and is near all the wonderful fish restaurants. You can walk into Torremolinos and the shops, and walk to the port at Benalmadena. You can easily get the bus to Fuengirola. I would heartily recommend El Tiburon, it is quaint and quirky and I enjoyed my stay of 6 nights very much and would return.

Excellent value for money

Located close to the beach of La Carihuela and excellent value for money.

The food although not gourmet is very appetising and there is always excellent choice. I visit La Carihuela often on business and pleasure and always keep returning to El Tiburon.

Situated midway between Torremolinos and Benalmadena it offers easy access to both resorts where the choice of bars and restaurants is a little more extensive. However if you wish to stay local you can always get a well cooked, hearty meal at Caribe in Montemar, 5 minutes walk towards Benalmadena, and just round the corner is Restaurant La Brasa, a steakhouse which offers an excellent value for money carvery. Opposite Caribe is bar Tahiti which has very friendly staff. Just round the corner from El Tiburon is bar El Mojito which if you are travelling with family I highly recommend as an excellent family bar. For the warmest welcome you could ever wish for I recommend Winstons bar, run by Henry and Eileen. Although very small it is cosy and the staff and regulars are always very friendly and talkative

What a cracking place to stay

A lovely, friendly place, close to the great beach at La Carihuela and all its restaurants. Best of all is the help yourself breakfast buffet - no need to eat until evening - everything from full English to cool continental.

A good deal at El Tiburon

A basic, clean hotel, which we booked on the strength of the reviews on tripadviser. The hotel is only two minutes from the marina at La Carihuela. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, the bar is reasonably priced and for 24 Euros per room a night for B+B we were more than impressed. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty of choice of hot and cold dishes and the food was constantly replenished.

We will return!

Our Home from Home the Hotel El Tiburon

We have been to this charming hotel many times. We found it by accident and did not know what to expect, it a small family run hotel which is quite basic but comfortable and extremely clean. It is only five minutes walk to the beach and there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby. We like the bed and breakfast arrangement so that we can eat out each evening. The breakfast is very good and you can choose anything from English cooked to continental you just help yourself.The Hotel is so reasonable we try to go at least once a year whilst still visiting other places. Where ever we go though, we still find ourselves wanting to go back to the El Tiburon and that lovely part of southern Spain. In that area there are no loud disco bars so that it is suitable for most people and it has retained a little bit of the old Spain.It is only a ten minute taxi ride from Malaga Airport. If all you want is a comfortable place to stay in a good location there can be no better place to stay in our opinion. It is also interesting to see many familiar faces all re-visiting the hotel and that must be a good sign.

lovely small hotel nice quiet area if thats what you like but if you are more young at heart and enjoy entertainment be aware because plenty of walking will be involved. bar stays open as long as you want and hotel is in a very spanish part of town with about 20 mins walk to benalmadena

Great value for money hotel

Visited the Tiburon thtree times now. A friendly small hotel with personality! No formal entertainment on site - but plenty to do within walking distance. Good breakfast, tasty day-time snacks. Small pool - but never busy.
