... many of us who finished off our bottles over the course of the night. I ended up staying up pretty late talking to a Kiwi, Craig.

Other comments I have. The tents are quite nice and they look VERY durable which is particularly important. We divided into cook crews and I somehow ended up on two. Weird, the North American group (me plus my Canadians) put me on theirs and Pete and Craig thought I was going to be with them. I decided to stay with ...
Gibraltar, Gibraltar lenahoff... the Moroccan midget down to a quarter of his asking price. We probably still got ripped off, but hey, we got to bargain with an actual Moroccan. After a couple more stops in the twisting streets of the Medina, and trying to avoid the gaze of guys selling everything from cheap bracelets to cheap drums to cheap wodden camels, it was back on the bus to see the real thing. We were told we would get a chance to ride the camels, but because of the rain we had to look at them from afar ...
Benalmadena, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands tommcattThis is by far the most beautiful city I have visited in Spain! Ronda is where the first bullfight took place and is home to the oldest bullring in Spain. The other students and I started out the day listening to one of our professors give a speech about the history of bullfighting, very interesting but after three hours I was ready to see Ronda. We then went to the bullring and had the opportunity to go inside where the fights take place. It was a feeling like no ...
Ronda, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands aperiseeI had a window seat for the flight from Gatwick to Gibraltar. The airport is said to be one of the most spectacular in the world, with 'the rock' on one side, Spain on the other and nothing but water in front and at the end of the runway. The runway also has the main street running through it so traffic is stopped when planes are landing or taking off.

It's a strange situation at the airport ...
Gibraltar, Gibraltar bradmccartney... early hours of the morning. Shaz - Anywhere with warm weather and clear waters Pete - I liked Bermuda a lot, but right now somewhere warm like the Canary Islands would do. What was your favourite place in the Med? Harri - Venice Tom - Bella Vita, I don't like to get off too much. Shaz - Soller and most of Mallorca, so beautiful..... No wonder Christopher Skase hid out here! Pete - A tie between the little town of Valdemossa, most of Mallorca & Venice

Estepona, Spain saeed.dabestani... The monkeys wear thin quite quickly, but the views up here are spectacular. It's like Hong Kong but instead of skyscrapers and neon lighting you get a truly gigantic cliff. It's the same scale anyway and we were well impressed with the scope of nature's palate. However, with a fresh breeze carrying the feral tang of ...
Tarifa n', Gibraltar technotrekker... that no ferries leave from Gibraltar. Why would they, when it would just mean more customs hassles for the UK? Hindsight would make this clear, but not before we lugged our bags to the far end of the island and back, looking for the nonexistent ferry dock. Then we passed a McDonalds, whose bright lights and crowd of delinquents running around the playplace acting tough made it seem like it was made for such a surreal place. Finally, we made it back to ...
Gibraltar, Gibraltar traveeseWe headed straight to Gibraltar after crossing the straights from Morocco, in search of an English-speaking doctor to look at Heather's duff knee. Two weeks later, we were back again, this time looking for medical assistance for David. Heather's first Gibraltar experience: There was a hospital; all food comes with chips and warm, flat beer; I didn't know whether the Barbary macaques would prefer hard boiled eggs or a small cat but ...
