... along the Snake River. This is where we saw a small herd of buffolo right along the road. We made a big loop south and ultimately back north to Thermopolis.

One curious observation, the folks out here take great pride in the height of their mountains. No less than 3 people mentioned to us that in the east, the mountains tops aren't as high as the base of the mountains out west.

... made us go to the indoor pools. Cheryl and I decided to leave, we can come back later if we like. Drove about fifty (50) miles outside of town to see some rock petroglyphs, no one was there (ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG) the gate wes locked. Got back to town and found Merlin's hide shop, great stuff (Got a tour of their new shop from Merlin's wife (Pat). ...

... fishing with Kevin & Dave (brothers), coolest guys ever!! These boys had been playing in a golf tournament today and were a 'few shades to the wind' to say the least. Think they had a great day. Was great to catch up with everyone again. We had a sort of early night as we had to be up at 5am to go fishing on the lake.
Nice early start on Saturday. Off to the lake we go. Weather was already looking a bit ominous.
Not much else to tell except ...

We did a drive through the State Park in the middle of town which is home to several commercial water parks utilizing the hot spring water. Having arrived a little later in the day in the off season, we learned that the parks were due to close shortly. we gathered brochures and price information and headed back to an rv park we had passed on the way in.

This morning was the best breakfast of our trip! Finally, not bananas and muffins in our room. The Best Western had a continental breakfast, but it included hot items like eggs and sausage and oatmeal. What a treat! (Can you tell I really like breakfast?) Plus we shared a table with a woman from Austria who was on a 6-week holiday in the U.S. She was positively delightful to talk with.
