... gum balls for crafts (of course you have to go further south to find them).
An Indiana Beach commercial claims "there's more than corn in Indiana." But travelling Hwys I75N, I74W and I65N through Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana you’d see little else. Flatlands and farms comprise most of the scenery, so we amused ourselves with silly or interesting sights. Dave always ...

Today was absolutely beautiful in Springfield; sunny and high 70s. The show only ran to 2:00 so we were able to get on the road pretty quickly. Got home just after 5:00.
Walked around the city a bit more this morning and checked out the State Capital building-very cool.

Packing up the car now and we'll be leaving in a couple of minutes. With a lunch stop, we should be arriving in Collinsville, IL ('burb of St. Louis) around 3:30. I'll be filming on the road, so hopefully we see some of the Supercar Reunion peeps on the road.
Catch ya later!

Whew, we made it home! The Long Hauler ceremony was this morning in Madison and we left right after, getting here about 1:30. Again, we brought the sunshine. Apparently it was stormy and cloudy all week here. Glad to be home after 9 days on the road (except for the big pile of laundry waiting for me). What a great time we had. Gurnee, Illinois, United States arspromo... club, this place was really cool with brass instruments hanging all over the walls, while we where here a band was setting up for that nights performance so we got to hear a little bit before heading on. Chicago was a really cool town with a really good vibe - could have stayed here a little longer but we had to head on the next day. Oh and forgot to say, this place really is windy....its not just called the Windy City for nothing! :)
Chicago, United States carolandjoe... we leave the car under a light. Next time we may go back to Four Points O'Hare, where there *is* secure parking in a gated lot at the back of the hotel. In the room, I made final packing changes. I had 'packages' with 4 sets of clothes (so, one package each day is clothes for all four of us) in a bundle inside a duffel, inside our large rolling duffels. I had bought 2 new yellow Eddie Bauer duffels for this trip so they'd ...
Mount prospect, Illinois, United States mrsbaaAfter saying all of our good byes to family and friends, Jess and I were dropped off by my mom at O'Hare airport to start our grand adventure. Unfortunately, the weather in DC had other plans for us. After United eliminated the Chicago to Buenos Aires direct flight, we were rerouted through Dulles with only a 50 minute layover. Our scheduled departure was about 6pm, but 3.5 hours ...
