Winter destination, 2009

June's Comments: Being an avid gardener, I was amazed at the commercial gardens here. I thought that Yuma was all desert and didn't expect to find acres and acres of lush fields of vegetables. In fact ...

We sat at a table with Kathy and Terry and two other couples from Oregon! It is a small world, isn't it. Then all the new people to the park had to be introduced. Dale entertained everyone with our story of getting over the Siskiyous just in time. Most RVers who travel in the West know all about the Siskiyous! Dale ...

The nest test was to buy gasoline. Pemex, the government owned oil company, are the only stations. Every station has full service, and there are always a group of guys ready to help. All I needed to do was to be sure I bought 87 Octane lead free. Gas is $.70 per litre. I then got on the road and found ...

Mountainous desert

Going to visit my snowbird grandparents yields delicious grapefruit every morning and other fresh produce all the time. We play dominoes and swim during the day. I don't like that there is a constant patrol on the mountain tops to prevent illegal immigrants from sneaking into the country, it's pretty intimidating.
