      To describe Panggasinan, It was really an awesome place filled with lovely and accomodating people. Thanks for this happy trip! I would really love to come back again.

      ... this weird fruit that we had never seen before. It looked like a kiwi but it was darker and less furry. When we got home we tried it and it was really bizarre. It tasted like a Christmas cookie. It had the consistency of a kiwi with one big seed in the middle and tasted like a cinnamon Christmas cookie. It was not my favorite but Rene loves any and all weird flavors. I left them all for her. ...

      ... from top to bottom. The Queen sat in a throne on the back of the truck and behind her the rest of the truck was made to look like a garden. She was done up in a fluffy dress with a huge train. She sat on her throne and did the pagent girl wave to everyone that went by. I kind of felt sorry for the kids In the royalty. Their parents seemed to be more into it than them, and instead of sitting with all of their friends they had to sit all alone in their separate float.

      In school we are referred to as Teacher; as in Teacher Haley and Teacher Rene. The male teachers are referred to as Sir; Sir Ryan and Sir Romeo.       Haley and Rene seemed very pleased with the balikbayan suitcase packed by Marsha. A balikbayan is a box sent home by an expat Filipino. Marsha packed a list of things requested by Haley & Rene, plus a lot of extras. Haley and Rene were especially thrilled to read cards and letters from friends back home.
