    So after a day of lounging in sulphur baths and a week of exploring Tuscany it was time to make our way back north in preparation for our return to Venice. But there was no real hurry as everything is only about 4 hours away from everything else in Italy. So we decided to take a route to somewhere unexpected, somewhere new and somewhere that we hadn't really known anything about until we went to the Milan Expo. Our next destination ...

    Today we stayed on the boat! We enjoyed every minute of it! We were going to go to the beach but, we could see it from the boat. The boat also had amenities the beach wouldn't have ( beer, food, toilets). Maybe we're boring...but we needed a day off after our busy cruise so ...

    ... sites in Italian and English which was great! We walked past the various sites the hostel guy had circled on the map ending at the Tiberius Bridge which is 2000 years old and still in use today! Up close it did not look like the most sturdious bridge but still impressive to see.

    After that we went back to one of the main squares for our first Italian dinner lasagna and salad - yum!

    We headed back out to the hostel ...

    It's near enough to Rome for a trip, but you could go round the lake for a holiday too.
    Didn't eat for the rest of the day, the bike wouldn't have coped with extra weight, and kicked on for San marino.
    Now when your sat nav says 48 miles, two hours, and you're in mountains it's going to be two hours of bendy bendy bendy fun fun fun. And it was

    ... him so he was doing it by himself. The
    guys behind us were trying hard to catch up. But they couldn't... Eventually, Davide was dying of exhaustion and let them over take us. I couldn't stop laughing. After an hour, we were - especially Davide - exhausted so we took it back. It cost us 16 euro. Not bad! :)

    By the time we got home, it was 5pm. We were going for apperativo! :) On the way, we all ...
