... the trail up and beer was already flowing by 6 a.m. I'm not sure if you would consider that really late, or early???? 6:30 rolled around and one of the demolition guys rolled up and set up his camera to film it as well. ... another lady on the train that her time of the month had arrived this morning. Jesus, I hope the ***** bleeds to death !!!

It all went pretty quiet after that. Unfortunately the seat next to me was now occupied by a snoring tattooed Mexican who had boarded at El Paso but had spent the first couple of hours in the viewing car with his mate. Needless to say, no sleep was had by me. Next stop San Antonio tomorrow morning.

Our first full day on the train. We woke up very early as neither of us slept spectacularly. We did get some shut eye, though. Not much happened today except we finally got out of Texas. We did get to eat dinner with an elderly subject of the British Crown who was clearly three sheets to the wind when he ordered a scotch and soda at dinner. He was quite hilarious.
