So from prehistoric art and natural wonders to modern art we move to domestic duties, it is a treat to be connected to grid. ... We walked the beach across the bay from Santander and watched Palomita surfing in the October sunshine. The dunes made for great jumping and sand play. Even a shipwreck was submerged in the sand. We had wonderful paella (brought back to the stone patio from a local restaurant), followed by siestas (Deborah actually slept!), card games, interesting discussions, and sharing of photos and stories. It's dark when we get there and very quiet, a small bar, we don't set everything up cos there is loads of lightening, never seen so much at once, it lights up the sky like a laser show. Then comes the rain but we are tucked up by then so no worries. Saprano's it is ...

Eggs and Spanish baguette (pan), which is not as good as French baguette, for breakfast. Then we cycle into Potes to watch La Vuelta, good support but not as crazy as in England or France. Little writing on the roads and no yellow bikes on display. There is a break away group through first, approx 5 mins ahead of the Pelaton. Blink and you would miss them. they ...
