In this group of divers the youngest
was 14 and the oldest was in his 50's.
Wow what a way to make a living,
Then back to the ship to cast off at 6pm.
The weather was hot and humid about 92 degrees.
A nice refreshing dip in the pool was a great way to cool off.
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico berri... br>The history of Acapulco (per the tour book), is a city of about 700,000 people. This became
a major port back in the 1500's due to the arrival of Hernan Cortez,
which at that time many treasures were shipped to Mexico City and on to Spain. After World War 2 this became a favorite
vacation spot.More to come!
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico berri... 1117">I walked along the Avenue of the Dead up to the pyramid of the sun (world's third largest). I climbed the stairs and quickly realised that if was much harder to climb that it looked, I was well worth the rest on the top. I climbed down and went and climb the pyramid of the moon too. You can´t leave climbable things unclimbed.
I followed a group of Japanese people for a while, and concluded that ...
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico orion.aFinally, to the beach - Acapulco beckoned enticingly! As ever, I have to stay downtown where all the crummy, cheap hotels are, though generally that means more local character & noise. The st hotel was right in the thick of it & had to move somewhere quieter - as it was I'd already moved rooms - another hotel built by a man - many of the rooms had big windows in the showers as low as waist height and no window ...
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico ccchrissie... low prices. At the entrance to the village the road forks by an Oxxo shop, if your bus is heading straight on then jump out here and veer off to the left. This is the only street that runs through the village, on your left are all the hotels and restaurants lining the Pacific Ocean whilst on your right is the Laguna de ...
Pie de la Cuesta, Guerrero, Mexico amazingjourneys... to the ship. We were onboard by 12:15 which was good since we left Acapulco at 1:00. The restaurants were packed and we ended up sitting with some people who I had met in the laundry room a couple of days ago. The girls craft was canceled so they grabbed lunch and ate it in the room. Regan, Nikki and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End in the Buena Vista Theater for the afternoon and Kelsie ...
Acapulco, Mexico ricflack... the beach at Pie de la Cuesta along with her younger, prettier sister and the sister's friend, a forty-something fair-haired man whose face had seen too much of the sun. I addressed the man but he did not understand and asked me to speak English, a language of which he himself appereared to have only a limited grasp. It transpired that he was down from Quebec on a week's vacation. Three of four times during the journey my newfound admirer asked me for my impressions of ...
Acapulco, Mexico fintan... window into all the other rooms on the floor below. They probably stayed there all day! The dumb Kiwi's had managed to find space in the hostel so we hung around waiting for them to get ready. Had to repack their bags 3 times before they were finally ready to go and we headed to the subway. We thought they were dumb last night but we saw just how stupid they were this morning. They had no idea what they were doing, couldn't navigate ...
