    Der Taxifahrer, den wir in San José anheuerten, hatte scheinbar einen speziell teuren Taximeter eingebaut. Wir bezahlten für die kurze Fahrt zum anderen Busterminal (um das Busticket für Monteverde zu kaufen) und zurück ins Hotel nämlich gleich viel wie für beide Billete nach Monteverde, eine vier- bis fünfstündige Busfahrt!     ... you are in, Don't walk through a park and night on your own etc..and yet at the same time, in some ways it does feel a bit safer as they have guards in little huts on nearly every street. Now I say guards, they are not official they are men, it seems, that have just decided they are going to set up hut on your road and guard your house, for a small fee of course. I imagine this has come about through a turn of events over the years that it was particularly unsafe ...
