A good choice, a small hotel with rooms generally overlooking the pool, which has the backdrop of one of the huge dunes. Our room was a good size with very comfy bed and hot water and the breakfast included juice, fruit, eggs and rolls. We ate twice in the restaurant, and while service was a little slow, the food was excellent, very tasty and beautifully presented. Both mornings there was a departure of visitors with their cases rumbling over the cobbled path at 6.15, but I think you would hear this whichever room you were in, and it certainly didn't spoil our stay.

The hotel is actually a hotel, but we stayed in the hostel room with 10 beds. Everything was very clean and it was nicer than other hostels we've stayed in, but the beds were harder and the pillows were worse than the simpler hostels we've been too. The pool and restaurant were both nice features.

This is a great hostal/hotel, the staff were very nice and helpful. We originally had a reservation for a triple and one dorm room, and when we arrived, they set us up in a quad room, which actually cost us less. Luigi at the front desk helped me with some Spanish, and was very patient whenever I asked how to say something in Spanish, and would even write it down for me. The Pool was awesome, good place to chill in the afternoon sun, and the restaurant was beautiful, with a standard continental breakfast. The town is very cool, and safe, with a great selection of restaurants and pubs.

We had a great 2 night stay here. The room was simple and clean. The pool was lovely and a real treat in the lovely weather. The staff in the restuarant in particular Anna and June were lovely.

We got a taxi to our hotel on the outskirts of Ica in Huacachina, but it was dark, so we didn't fully appreciate the size and majesty of the sand dunes till the morning. If you were asked to picture a erfect oasis in your mind, Huacachina wouldn't be far off! The story goes that a princess stripped off her clothes to bathe and when she saw a male …

We had wake up call at 6am to be taken to bus station to leave at 7am to travel on public bus of Cruz del Sur bus company.
Sat upstairs at the front for the view...how many near misses can you have especially with the numerous 3 wheeled motorbikes with their colourful "home" that looks like a snail's.
