... tree lined boulevard. On one side and the river on the other side till you leave the city... The rest of the 21 km walk was not to eventful but it sure feels good to have my feet finally healed up. It felt like a walk in the park today. The early morning was so quiet.. Once we were checked in, Stew and Kim took off ...

Today we said farewell to the wonderful city of Burgos and hello to the Meseta... And we also said a sad farewell to Heather and David, our Canadian walking buddies :( They're now cycling the Camino between Burgos and Leon where they'll meet friends to continue the walk to Santiago. The Meseta is renowned for its blandness but I think a kinder description would be exposed...no trees; only crops, rocks and the Camino trail winding it's way ...

    ... the air.
We headed into the tourist information for advice on campsites and then picked up the Camino de Santiago towards the cathedral. We have been following the same line as the Camino since leaving France and often see pilgrims carrying their heavy rucksacks as they make their way to Santiago De Compostela. We feel we are doing our own pilgrimage, just without the hardship!
The cathedral was amazing. For a meager entrance fee we ...
