... bracket of her bike but we don't get a chance to even mention it. A call to Bicigrino and arrangements are made to ship a new electric bike to Fromista, about 45 km away on mostly flat terrain (2 day minimum shipping time), so that we don't have to wait in Burgos. We finally head to our hotel, Puerta de Burgos, and as usual, exhausted, but looking forward to a rest day in Burgos. Only had a chance to take photos in small town along the ...

Today we said farewell to the wonderful city of Burgos and hello to the Meseta... And we also said a sad farewell to Heather and David, our Canadian walking buddies :( They're now cycling the Camino between Burgos and Leon where they'll meet friends to continue the walk to Santiago. It was a beautiful morning with absolutely stunning views of the sunrise and pilgrim monuments everywhere. It was quite a trek entering Burgos as we first had to go through the industrial area ...

... a bakery. We're finishing off our coffees now and should be setting off soon. Depressingly, it would take mum about 30mins to get here from Burgos as opposed to the 2 hours it's going to take us. Oh well! The second half of the journey went by surprisingly quickly and by 10:30 we were sitting in a cafe in Burgos! An hour later we were in our wonderful hotel room, showered and anxiously awaiting the arrival of mum and Daisy! Every car had me jumping to the window to see ...

Slept in til 10am. Wandered around gathering little bits of breakfast from everywhere; a yoghurt and granola from Dairy Heaven, a croissant from the nice panadería, coffee from a man who told us were beautiful and gave us lollipops too (yay for not looking like a peregrino!!!!) and later on, divine smoothies from a cafe in front of Burgos cathedral. We also dropped our clothes off at a laundrette to have them washed (with washing ...
