I spent one day in Termas de Rio Hondo, relaxing in the termal hot springs. I was camping right on the river and the campsite had it's own thermal pools, so it was good. It is funny, The town is on a river but the river is called Rio Dulce not Rio Hondo.

De Termas de Río Hondo a San Miguel del Tucumán

... a Tafí del Valle .... San Miguel del Tucumán is the capital city of Tucumán. It is about 1193 km from Buenos Aires. You can take a bus (about 15 hours) or a flight (Aerolíneas Argentinas or Lan Chile). The capital city is a "touch and go" since there is not that much to see except for the historical center with the "Casita de Tucumán", the main square and all the buildings around it (church ...

From BA to Río Hondo

Conclusi ...

Salta La Linda

... have a weekend there. We spent a few nice relaxing days seeing some of the sights, sitting around having a few beers, eating out and of course going into every torta shop and ice cream parlour that we passed (which was a lot!). Tortas are what we ave taken to calling any cake type confectionary item ranging from a croissant to a lemon meringe pie - these shops have literally hundeds of types of everything in ...

The 'I've had it' list.

... back until midnight at night with volume forcing all to listen. Even in the Inca town, the video arcade BLASTING music so loud to be heard for blocks around. I hate the loudness, and now avoid it at any means. Right now I risk pigeons again and bees rather than the dance version of 'And I miss you, like the deserts miss the raa-aiin...' 3. Cars. Trying to kill me. Really. Trying to kill me. I can't even handle to run in the cities here, I just can't do it. Unless there is a run path ...

Back in town

... slope, and I in my flip flops I've been meaning to get rid of, slip and fall on my side, with some sort of a roll move, arms clenched in to my chest. Instantly there is two men out from a nearby store, asking if I need help (I don't) which actually makes me feel quite a bit better about the hazards of the world around me here, at least people are ready to jump to assist if they need be. And I am fine, save a raspberry on my elbow and dirty pants, MUCH more fine than my ...

A lesson in just staying put

... had a pretty nice feel, with the mountains in the distance, many travelers wandering around, and a very nice center plaza. But actually, considering traffic alone, it was about the worst here, with tons of cars on all the side streets, and of course, no hint of ever slowing, even for intersections. This kind of sucked and kept me from ever even wanting to run. At the hostel I ended up at, I met some other female travelers who were also doing about the ...

Wine Sampling

... green in colour, a scenery that when faced with it was hard not to get trigger happy with the camera. Cafayate is a lovely town, which offers great sceneries a great place to explore on bike and for me it offered my first taste and experence of an Argentinian steak!! A portion that should definatly be shared! I had to seek help from the street dogs to finish, as I did not want to send a plate back that looked like it had not been touched!
