Bariloche - Northern Patagonia
After a 22 hour Bus ride from Buenos Aires through grass lands and pampas we arrived in Bariloche. It is beautifully set right on a massive lake (Lago Nahuel Huapi) with snowcapped mountains in the back and the arrival with the bus is quite scenic.

Lots of big trees (alerce trees - they grow about a centimeter every 20 years. Since the rings are so close together, the wood is very strong and so the species was almost cut to extinction, which is why the park exists). We vertrokken heel vroeg (7.30) met de collectivo (bus) naar het nationaal park "Parc National de los Alerces". Een park dat bomen herbergt van 2500 jaar oud (dan ben ik met mijn 25 nietig).
