Hi all! Little overdue for updates!<br><br>From Granada I headed up to the coffee capital of Nicaragua, Matagalpa. After a quick transfer in Managua, Matagalpa was the destination. After not eating for two days we arrived off the bus feeling pretty **** as we had been mugged on the way there. My fault really our bags we are the back of the bus and some sellers wanted to get on the back to sell stuff. I got up to open the back door and then it went crazy as two guys came storming through the bus one gets behind me the other infront and goes to grab my little backpack. ... but every church was packed today with a lot of singing and processions through the streets. As with any Latin country the catholic church dominates the town. This is a larger city so there are 3 massive catholic churches we have seen so far. We are told though that the evangelicals are making some gain on the Catholics. Matagalpa in the northern highlands of Nicaragua is best known for it`s coffee plantations, although most of it´s exported to rich western countries which means the local stuff is often of the nescafé variety.
