We learned that one of the reasons the fast boats took half the time to get to San Carlos (2 hours v 4 hours in the slow boat) was because they made just 2 stops along the way.     ... birds, we saw some howler monkeys above us in the trees and generally took a leisurely stroll to the waterfall. The last km got a little tough and we couldn't wait to get to the top to cool down in the water. San Ramon is 180m there is a small supply of water flowing from the top down, but this is mostly due to the fact that it is outside of rainy season.     ... into the cases, ready for sale. Of course, I had to buy something. A delicious pastry for about $0.37!

    Tues., I leave San Ramon after lunch and head to Matagalpa, about 30 minutes but bus. Before leaving, I go over to the Sister Communities office to say good-bye and meet a small group of Rotary women from NC who are here doing some development projects. That was fun!
