We had a different guide which was good as he told us some different things including showing us some sugar cane that was growing on the bank of the river. He pulled the boat to the side and jumped out to cut some down for us to taste. I was expecting it to taste sweeter than it did but I ...

In our time in playa hermosa we watched 2 sunrises, 2 sunsets, an epic moon rise, and a moon set. Thanks Ju :) Later that same day we set out to look for the two waterfalls, that everyone who lived in the area said were within a 30min walk of the place we were staying. Perfect! ... some fellow hostel mates asking the hostel manager how to get there, it was decided. We were pumped, but gave ourselves an extra day to rest before going as we were exhausted from the adventure day and couldn't fathom shopping for food, organizing all of our stuff for a hike and another 4:00 am morning. We were up at 4 for our 5:30 bus. We met a couple ...
