    ... lines. The center reel was completely spooled out.  You could see the empty reel, but the line was still attached. For some reason, the clicker on the reel wasn't set, so we hadn't noticed it.  I grabbed the rod and began to reel it in.  There was 450 yards of line, about a quarter mile of fishing line, and this was going to be slow going.  I reeled until my arm ached then Bill took over.  After a while he handed it back to me.  We worked this ...

    ... We sent the two youngsters, Rob and Tracey, on the errand to La Ribera, a sleepy little Mexican town about 5 miles away. La Ribera has one paved road, a couple of stores and one gas station.     ... an occasional "ah ha!"

    There has also been a reconnection with Grace. Grace being given to each other when we have the time to be still long enough to recognize someone's intent and heart in a matter, rather than just quickly judge the words or actions...and then also have the time to decide to respond rather than to react. That luxury of time doesn't come often in our back home daily lives.

    ... to the menu. Of course, it has met with some resistance. Maybe the old crowd....meat and pots peeps don't like the change. But for our "younger" family, we like that it is lighter food, with the right size servings so that we don't feel there is so much waste. Good Job Buenavista! Loving it.

    So, we head into another night...Tylenol now in hand, and await another morning, unlike this morning...

    ... right to read through a whole book here...something that never happens at home. Anyway, I've plowed through it with some level of enjoyment and today by the pool I finished it. What a total let down. It was like watching a balloon tightly filled with air, expectantly waiting for it to propel itself wildly around the room, until finally in the end, falls to the finish. Completed. Instead, once the scene was set and ready ...
