Our first night here in Cabo. Just 2 months ago there was a major hurricane here and some of the damage is still evident. We arrived at El Delfin Blanco and are the first guest here since the hurricane. Our hostess Osa was so accommodating and friendly. She had prepared a little cabana for us to stay with flowers and everything although none of US could get the air con remote to work so she moved us into a bigger place that was just not so ...

I found a simple hotel room on the main plaza and set out to explore. No English spoken here, so it was too hard to complain about the food.
Be sure to stop by the little art shop in town. They have soaps made ...

    ... day.

At lunch we noticed several changes with the menu..which has been pretty much unchanged for years...which was fine... but the changes looked good. Again at dinner we remarked at the differences we saw...in preparation, presentation....less weighty... good proportions.

We asked to speak with the new chef. He is a young man from Ensenada named Elmo. We love the creativity he ...

... bing...and another year is gone.
I took the kids to Barnes and Nobel to get some books for the summer and in spite of my desire to read something in the growing pile on my night stand I couldn't help myself and bought "the best book of the year"...The Family Fang. I knew right away it was going to be mildly dark and a bit disturbing to me...and I was right. But I've enjoyed (?) it. Maybe it's just because the conditions ...
