      ... bing...and another year is gone.
      I took the kids to Barnes and Nobel to get some books for the summer and in spite of my desire to read something in the growing pile on my night stand I couldn't help myself and bought "the best book of the year"...The Family Fang. I knew right away it was going to be mildly dark and a bit disturbing to me...and I was right. But I've enjoyed (?) it. Maybe it's just because the conditions ...

      ... pizza Tropicana, which may very well be the best pizza they've had in years. Steve and I both got the shrimp brochette. Delicious. Madison ordered the chicken chimichanga which was the size of a small fried baby. Werner's daughter had an ear infection so after dinner he called the clinic and within 8 minutes the doctor was there and got the needed antibiotics and pain meds. 24 hour medical service, meds included for $45.00.

      We carefully navigated dinner tonight so as not to be heavy and uncomfortable. Dad played a game of pingpong with Chum while a newly wed wife came by and asked Madi and me if we had seen her "lost" husband?       ... but we finally found it. I bought a Mexican plate from a really nice young lady who had prices on all her items and didn't harrass me. Because she was so nice, I didn't haggle at all.

      We had planned to stay in town and have supper, but it was only 4:30 and we were both bushed. So we jumped on the Urbano and headed home. We will go back a few times before we leave. ...
