I thought I’d be safe going mid-week but forget about going to the beach anywhere in the eastern U.S. between Memorial Day and Labor Day if you don’t like ...

... long, and forms the wide timber walk between the ocean and shops. The first boardwalk was opened in 1896 originally built, to keep sand out of hotel lobbies..and the fashionable rolling chairs were introduced as a form of foot taxi for those unable to walk or too tired to walk!!!
