Today we, Ziggy and I, felt like we could die if this bike broke down or ran out of gas. I had a full tank, 180 miles, and I truly thought we could run out of gas. Fortunately there was a small gas station where US 95s hits CA 62w. 87 octane never looked so good. We rode 170 miles of desert. The heat never really materialized and we rode in 85 degree heat with hazy sunshine or thin cloud cover. CA ...

Well these next entries are going to add to it.  Three quite different places, three unique dreams, three separate experiences and yet, somehow these three all speak to me as one thing. Anyway, the "docents" a polite term for "old geezers who used to fly those pieces of ****" were very knowledgeable and told ...

First, I forgot to mention that El Centro is the winter home of the Blue Angels. Every now and then we can see them flying in formation, presumably practicing, but man are they LOUD. We went by the Navy base, since I wanted to take a tour of the place, being an old Navy man myself, but the Tufie gave it a yawn so we didn't. Women.

So, the cool thing about this gypsy lifestyle is the ability to go out and see the country - the real country where ...

... and the manager very welcoming of us saying "As long as you make it in before the doors closed you're welcome to come in!" Refreshing spirit. Our group of 10 were all that were in the restaurant so we had our order placed and food cooked quickly (plus the staff was probably ready to go home). We all ate good - I enjoyed my breakfast while most of the others including Ayden, Shaunette and my parents had lunch-type sandwiches.

After leaving a good tip and taking a few ...
