Needless to say, our rental car costs were somewhat less then a big rental deal for which we gained a certain appreciation of the charm the island has to offer .... and it was all good.

Highlights for sure as the Jardin du Cactus, Palmitos park and a little town deep in the island call Teror.

On day three we stopped off at Las Palmas Gran Canaria and after convincing the taxi driver who brought us into the city centre from the port that we were definitely taking the number 91 bus south for one and a half hours around the coast he finally let us out of his grip.

... the berthage wasn't out of the budget we did get slapped with a 30 day cruising tax! This is based on a length x width calculation and although we had avoided it up to now we wouldn't be allowed to depart the islands officially with out paying it.

With that out of the way we decided to check out the city and to wait the arrival of "Awaroa" who were to join us the next day.
