What a wonderful dream come true! We are embarking on this fabulous trip to see where our ancestors came from. We are hoping to meet a few. One of our many reasons for picking the month of September is that the seafood is supposed to be spectacular!
... in Placerville at her Dad's home, and they welcomed us to stop and visit! It turns out a great family and friends get-together, the kids are happy to meet Norine's kids after that long time away, the house is nicely located in the hills outside ...
... games to play, a beautiful walking/biking path and pavement n' lush green grass. Of course the beautiful casino is a plus also. We plan to do some exploring of historic towns and antique stores, and also some wineries while we are here.
It is still hot. When we were boating on the Sac River on Labor Days the temps were 103 degrees . Now we are down to the low 90's. More later this week with pictures.

- I loved the meals in the back of my car. It was little nest in the back, where I could withdraw from the craziness of the weather and the B&B people. I loved my peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I looked forward to them and never tired of them the whole trip. The bread stayed fresh in the back of my car too. I loved just leaving the food in the back seat of my car and always knowing it was there. I bought ...
