    ... Once we were all together we began touring again. Turley was the first winery we all went to together. We have never been to that winery before. Kevin's lady friend Vicki works there and he told us that we should be stopping in there. As soon as we walked in Vicki and I knew who each other were because of descriptions and we immediately greeted each other with hugs. We had a wonderful time there and sampled some of their excellent wines.

    ... rhinestone, shirts and cowboy boots & hats was the dress code. It certainly was something different! It had all the elements of a livestock fairs, goats, sheep, cows, chickens and of course chubby hogs (pigs). The big event was the competition for the Saddle Queen battled out in the big ring by three 18 year old girls. At the end they were awarded prizes for the Saddle Queen, Miss Congeniality and Miss photogenic. The frog jumping was also a key feature but that ...

    ... games to play, a beautiful walking/biking path and pavement n' lush green grass. Of course the beautiful casino is a plus also. We plan to do some exploring of historic towns and antique stores, and also some wineries while we are here.

    It is still hot. When we were boating on the Sac River on Labor Days the temps were 103 degrees . Now we are down to the low 90's. More later this week with pictures.

    We made it!

    No blog update two nights ago because we didn't have Internet in the hotel...well, we did, but we chose not to pay for it. No blog update last night because we got to Fiddletown yesterday afternoon and were EXHAUSTED by the end of the day!
