... afternoon launch only 2 balloons went up and we found out later that the traffic was so backed up going over the bridge to the launch site, that the guys couldn't get there in time to launch. And, we can attest to that as we were in line for about 20 minutes trying to get there as well. Little did we know that getting out of that parking lot after the "glow" would take 40 minutes before we moved 10 feet, and finally the traffic started to move and we got out after 50 minutes.

One thing is certain, whichever way you look, it looks like a painting. We have been to countless incredible landscapes, but in my opinion, this is the one that looks most like a painting. I hope the pictures can convey a little bit of what it was like, but I fear they may not.

... loud music verses tumbleweed streets , its all kinda weird. Wayne and I walked slowly to the lake for a swim.. that was slimmy rocks and murky waters but at least it cooled us down. We then went to the nearest place (walking slowly as too hot) for a beer and a meal. We find we forget to eat until starving!
