If you are reading this, and we warned you not to, here is why....<br><br>When we left the Grand Canyon we drove for a few hours that night and stayed in lovely Needles, California, right on the border of Arizona. Enroute to Grand Canyon, we made a quick pit-stop at Lake Havasu City, to break the journey and to visit the original London Bridge. The City of London sold the bridge to the founder of Lake Havasu and it was dismantled in the UK and reassembled in the USA brick by brick. The bridge looks just like the one in London, just more pristine. <br><br>Urban legend has it that the silly American actually intended to purchase Tower Bridge, but thought that it was called London Bridge.<br><br><br><br>

It's 12:47 a.m., early Sunday morning.<br><br>My last day in the United States for 3 1/2 months! Tomorrow we leave for Mexico! Mom and I tried one more time to see if we can get a boat tour of Topock Gorge or the lake...no luck. The one good thing that came out of going back to the English village was that there was a tourist information center that was open. I stumbled across an interesting map of the Lighthouses of Havasu. Apparently, there is a local club responsible for erecting replicas of famous US lighthouses along the shore of Havasu ...

... spectacular rock formations everywhere, especially as we enter Arizona. We managed to get a tow behind a semi for most of the way which saved us a bunch of gas. Coming into Tucson we head for a Wally World to do some grocery and phone Larry Chase. We are unable to reach him and he does not phone us back.
