... stop at Yalikavak. Which mum calls yack-in-a-kayak (personally, I don't see how it's similar) where we tried on and bought a snorkel set for Maddie and a snorkel mask for me. Well. Datca is very lively. Music in the club went on very late (no watch but well past 1 in the morning. The place is going to become as trendy as Fiskardho in the Ionian. We ate a delicious meal on the beach with the water lapping a few feet away. The wind got up during the night and there is now quite a lot of noise from the assorted rigging around us. ... and quite pretty. We went for a swim in the sea at a well developed beach before walking back to the ship. Gambling that night - both 16 (Richard's birthday) and 23 (4 ways lucky) showed up on the roulette wheel during my 15 minutes of playing so I left the table after doubling my money with $117. Tonight, they are giving us 40:1 odds on one bet for the day - June 23!!! One of my favourite numbers!!

We gave ourselves plenty of time to find out where our ferry would actual be, providing it actually existed! Turns out it did exist and by 9.30 we were setting sail, well less sail and more chugging as it was a massive ferry, with plenty of room...so who knows what the American was talking about!! Only an hour and a half away from Akyaka, so perfect for a day trip. As Zeki couldn't start work yet because he will do the second half of his Anatolia trip, it was a perfect opportunity for some trips. On the way there, some soldiers stopped the bus to check everyone's ID. It was the first time that a Turkish soldier had checked my ID so I was terrified, but they let me pass!
