    ... very friendly and helpful until he squashed his finger, not sure how but he was not a happy chappy anymore.

    ... this beggars belief, the island used to grow enough wheat to necessitate a dozen windmills, which still line the ridge above town. How and where they possibly managed to grow even a handful of wheat on the steep rocky slopes, I have no idea.
