Have moved to the coastline we are seeing a very different Turkey a lot more tour groups with huge crowds everywhere. Enjoying the coastal towns Kas is a great little place where I could spent more time. Spending the day on a boat is so relaxing. less than a week left in Turkey then heading to Paris. Have enjoyed seeing different parts of this great country. Can't wait to come back one ...

... which brought water to the city.Our next overnight trip took us to north to Aphrodisias, named Aphrodite for the Greek goddess of love, also known as the art and sculpture center of Asia Minor. It has the a well-preserved Stadium and Grand Theatre. The nearby necropolis (burial grounds) filled with sarcophagi.

Dinner was in adjacent Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage ...

... I will see the actual harbor and this wonderful museum. I turned this way and that as Lola patiently took me closer and closer to the harbor. It was only too late that I realized that Antalya has several museums with similar names and obviously Lola didn't know I was driving in Turkey for the first time ever.

So the rental Fiat, Lola the mad GPS machine with the sweet voice, and I the accidental tourist plunge into Antalya's traffic heart ...
