Today was a lazy day. We walked along the east side of the river up to the falls. (real falls in the middle of Oslo) and back walking from shop to shop. This side of the city is a bit more alternative, that means not the fancy shops but the more alternative shops. From the falls we went to the Munch museum which is close enough to our apartment and went to see 'the ...
... good enough. Earlier today on our walk we found a Chinese restaurant that looked decent. We will try it out tomorrow.
After dinner, we went out for a stroll and walked to the pier area. It was past 9pm and the sun was not set. There were a lot of people on the street and there were many road side eating places, many restaurants. Bob and I were saying, even though we're not "wowed" by Oslo so far, this place is clean and pleasant. Hope to find more interesting things tomorrow.

On our first day we walked up the main city streets looking in little shops and boutiques. We then spent quite some time exploring the castle and fortress grounds. Our first day was our nicest day weather wise and were lucky to get some pretty views across the waterfront. In the afternoon we walked up the Royal Palace and then back to explore the Cathedral.

... looking for but not a real idea of where I was currently or where on the road my hostel was. So I just walked with the crowd until I ended up on the street and from there just kept walking. I ended up at a bus stop, because it was raining and cold and I had no idea where I was going and looked at the map for what I felt like was forever before finally figuring out where I was. Storgata! Three streets up then it will curve and make a right! No idea how far up the hostel is but at least ...
... greatly. It is a very open city with beautiful buildings and trolleys that run through the center. Compared to Copenhagen which is much more compact and clustered with bikers, shops, and pedestrians. The royal palace was nothing overwhelming but it was surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers, and grass. We then walked many blocks to the Statue Garden.
