So an enforced lazy day on Red Dwarf. I dont like lazy days. I am ok for a few hours then I get bored. (and people still wonder why winter drives me nuts)

But all's well, we have half a dead cow for tonight and another leg of Iberico Cedo Jamon(the famous wild boar fed on accorns naturaly cured.) for the trip along with loads of stores that dee has managed to squirell away into the boat.
We left the Port and headed off to Almerimar in calm seas. We had an excellent sail but before long the wind and sea began building and the wind direction changed and so we had to ‘beat’ our way forward. This was fun for a while but the seas got higher and higher and the wind stronger and stronger so that we were struggling to make headway.

We hooked in and got him ready for the water in a few days.
We got lifted early before the marineros got too drunk. I asked the crane driver what he weighed and he said 12,000kg so he is right on the money for weight and dee marked the hull with tape for a precise draft measurment. Red floats at precisely the designed draft ...
