... as proof!

At the fire station, we got to climb into the monster engines and try on a few of their uniforms and gear. We got a few lessons on fire safety, but I think we were too excited about all the toys that we had to play with. Even the teachers got right into it (by teachers, I mean me).

Well I made it back. Safe and sound, with a few delays here and there, and traveling for about 28 hours. I have to say, I'm proud to be an American. I planned to ease my way back in to American food, and I went from 0 to 60 in one meal. I had pizza and donuts in the same meal, and I never did that even when I was hungry at college.
