... I ever realized that there is a typical Minnesotan like that before... We talked for maybe a minute about the weather back home and about our excitement to get back.

I don't really know how to articulate this, but it was extremely comforting to speak with this motherly Minnesota woman.... It was a great feeling that I can't really explain - I guess it's just that feeling home gives you.

... can only be described as the original "man cave") actually had us laughing. But of course it would be so! I chatted with a 62 year old gal from Missouri (“but we calls it Misery”) and asked her if she’d ever seen Elvis live.....”No I did not...I always wanted to but never did. ... I - caring people. So really, we are never alone.

I have been thinking about my Uncle Steve a lot since I have been home. I have laughed and cried with my family. He was a fun loving, happy, huge hearted man that preferred nothing more than to do for others. Losing him has been an incredible reminder that you really never know what day will be your last. This trip was a dream and I am so grateful I made it a reality. ...
