... the train occasionally smelling like dirty diapers, the train rides were relatively uneventful. We did watch "Monuments Men" on our longer ride, and it's fantastic! If you love art and George Clooney/Bill Murray, this is for you.

... in! Neither of us had gambled before so we figured well play some slots with €5. Lisa lost hers in about 2 minutes. But my machine was gold! I started winning all kinds of money. It was only slots so not a lot but I got up to €48.50!! But that's when I got greedy. I thought that €50 would look much prettier so I kept playing. That's when I started losing. I would cash out and move from machine to machine to try other games but no such luck. I lost it all except for ...

The security gates drift open, and we power up the approach drive and into a shaded breezeway. Virginie unfolds from her vehicle, young, tanned, tall. and takes off her Jackie O sunglasses, hanging them ...
... The drive also took us through more stunning villages (are there any ugly ones?) such as Gault and Bonnieux, built into another cliff face and perched high on a hill. We enjoyed the drive into Lour Marin passing by stunning limestone rockface.
Today we were heading for Cannes. Gwynney told us to take a turn at "Mandy Lou" (sounded very dinky) which turned out to be Mandelieu.
Well we actually arrived in Cannes and pulled up at the hotel - no mean feat ...
... from South England. Adorable folks. Chatted a bit, ate a snack, & finally got into a real bed where I could sleep horizontally! And sleep I DID! The whole night. Take THAT, jet lag. POW!
Woke up Saturday very refreshed and ready to experience the south of France. I led a nice 20 minutes of yoga w/ the gals, took a dip in their large French pool, 'walked the grounds', then embarked on our day of exploring that area, which Sophie ...
