The hotel was wonderful: everything from check in to check out was impeccable. Our rooms were lovely, with nice big bathrooms, large beds, and cozy linens. The wifi worked well, the breakfast was outstanding, and the hotel lobby provided a wealth of amenities any traveler would appreciate.

After a successful Christmas trip with Ma and Pa Parsons through Prague and Budapest last year, we decided to try the Parsons European for Christmas Vacation, Part II. Unfortunately, unlike 2013 when we had an entire week off work, this time around we only had four days to play with. As such, we had to scale back our expectations and be a bit more …

From Paris, Anna and I took the train to Munich where we met up with Tim who had already checked in to the hotel. It was late, so we hit the sack.

Much of our knowledge of the Holocaust and the NSDAP comes from the tremendous amount of documentation that took place during that time. We're talking about thousands and thousands and thousands of documents, photographs, letters, diary entries, records, and artifacts. These tangible items act as a window into the history, and help us piece …

I've heard that one of the perks of being royalty is that you get to live in a big beautiful castle. Turns out that rumor is true. In fact, if you're lucky, you'll get to design it yourself so that it meets everyone of your desires and expectations.

Although if you're unlucky - like King Ludwig II of Bavaria - you'll die of a mysterious ( …

It really goes without saying that Hitler was a powerful leader. And not only was he powerful, but also radical. Studying the legacy of Nazi Germany certainly tells us that this combination can be dangerously seductive and terribly harmful. It can entice a nation of people, and encourage them to engage in activities they normally would not. Yet …
