    Remember The Alamo

    Greetings, still from San Antonio;

    Yesterday was a quiet day. Our only real activity was to go visit The Alamo. Walking inside the museum was very reminiscent of many of the Churches we have visited in Italy. There is a sense of quiet and reverence about what happened there. It was a moving experience. Pictures are not allowed in the museum but I did snap one of the outside.

    ... crust, just the right amount of tomato and cheese, and salumi that tasted exactly like we had in Italy. On the antipasto plate, the prosciutto was as deliciously sweet and salty as I've ever had. Throw in a bottle of Vietti Perbaco and it made for a really nice evening.

    Today we'll begin to explore San Antonio. We plan a boat tour along the river walk and a trip to The Alamo. More on that soon.

    ... and headed back to the room to reapply sunscreen and rehydrate. Back to the Wave pool where the Kelly's met up with us. After awhile there, we duplicated our morning with a trip down the Falls and a long while in the Alligator area.     The big girls and I were up and in suits by 7:20. Breakfast in our room and then we piled into the Kelly's car to go tot the main resort office to get our daily waterpark wristbands.     ... most to us was SHARP (Sexual harassment/assault) training. We watched a video about harassment that was extremely funny as well as informative, and learned that "our sexual perpetrator could be sitting to the left or right of us" (to a room of mostly female nurses). We had alcohol training where we watched videos of drunk guys doing stupid things, but also learning about different drugs/drinks that are banned by the military. ...
