... the museum in fragments and they also lost a lot to the Russians who see it as 'the spoils of war' . This museum has pre history and Egyptian, Greek and Roman artefacts. There was some amazing stuff, but most importantly we got to see the big three. We cast our eyes on the truely beautiful Nefertiti ( nofretet in German). We have woken up to a sweltering day of 0 degrees after an overnight low of -3 degrees. At least it is warming up!! Thermal layering day I think. We headed off to the Pergamum museum at 8.30 as it is only a 10 min walk but we casually mentioned to Russell in the way what happened about breakfast? His mind was so set on the museum that he had forgotten about filling our stomachs first - disgraceful!! So we diverted looking for an "early" morning breakfast cuisine. ...

Tonight is our last night in Berlin, and we had a blast. Hope, a teacher from NJ, and I decided that we wanted to ride the subway, just so that we could say that we did. We talked with the tour guide because some people said that we shouldn't. He said, "Sure, go for it! Why not?! We went for it, all by ourselves.
