We walked and walked for another hour and turned a corner and what did we see, yes the hotel and I was very happy and it only took more that three hours of walking in strange streets with suit cases how( wrong was I to think a cab would have been easier ) anyway we checked in and the room was great and after a cold beers we were fine and ready to face Paris with a smile .

... in front of the pyramid things at the louvre, so I picked someone touristy to take my photo. I chatted iwth him a bit afterwards. Turns out his name was Gal (Gal Av-Gay lol, he reckons his parents must hate him), and we were both hungry. So we started looking for food. We chatted, he was pretty hilarious. Pretty Jewish too, I hadn't really everspoken to a real jew, so it was cool. He was originally from israel, but lives in Canada. He was staying in ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France gavin.edgley... Whoo! Wheeley time! Up 4 flights I went with my colleagues to observe the national museum of immigration...so I could write a synthese on the organization, the expositions, etc. Whilst wheeling around and taking notes, I was struck with sudden fever...I tried to let it pass and continue my observations, but after looking down at my notes, I noticed that my handwriting wasn't legible, and also that I was sort of writing everywhere on my paper; I couldn ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France erinkoval... for Lara(my cousin) to pick me up. So finally Lidia & i left the train station around 7.30pm & got home at 8.15pm, we were tired & it was getting dark so decided to spend the night in talking & Lidia cooked me a wonderful meal, with lots of lovely cheeses & red wine! The next day i went to explore Paris while Lidia went to work. I saw Notre Dame which is very impressive from the outside & the inside, St Michel's fountain, The Louve, The Palace & royal gardens ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France simbah... and did go in and check it out. I just love the architecture of these buildings. The art and the sculptures of The Louver. I must say I was quite disappointed in this place overall. Not that I'm a museum or gallery person, but I much preferred the atmosphere of the National gallery in London then here. It was a loud and crowded place with flashes going off all over. Don't get me wrong, I love to take pictures ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France exploringWell ... now I have something to write about! The Sixties, continued ... I saw a real "manifestation" (demonstration) today. At least I think I did ... it might have been kind of a preview or something, because I got a piece of paper saying that there is going to be a manifestation tomorrow in the Place D'Italie, and they are going to try to meet with the prefecture (I'm afraid I don't know exactly what that means or who that is) and the minister of ...
Paris, France pandabear... mom and Bob just to check in and to say hello. Sorry, no pictures for now. I have to get my digital camera fixed as it says that the memory card is locked and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone is welcome to email me on my travel email address at spshso@yahoo.com and let me know how to fix this fine Casio 10.1 Mega Pixels Exilim digital camera. Well, I guess that is it for now. Off to peruse Paris some more. Please keep in touch by emailing me at the above email address.
Paris, France scottparsons... the outskirts of Paris. Christmas Eve in France is traditionally when families get together in the evening to have dinner, so I was worried about being a pain, imposing our family on them for the day. However, it was not a problem, and we successfully ate and drank our way through lots of yummy French ...
Paris, France kennedy1... to work out where to collect my luggage, how to find the metro and what tickets I needed to get into the city, everything was in French! (The stuff I learnt in year 11 hadn't kicked in yet!) That evening was spent getting lost in the small streets but seeing some really nice doors. These doors were the entrances to the courtyards that make up the old city. Quite a few were elaborately decorated with floral motifs or faces. I really ...
Paris, France jess76... the Arc and the lift was included in my museum pass, so I went to the roof. It was a nice view but what made my evening was that I happened to be looking at the Eiffel Tower when they lit it up. No one ever told me it twinkles ...
