... Il de Frace, the United States, the Olympic. Wood paneling, classic service, tableside preperations, and not being rushed. Takes you back to a different time and place. Pictures of our dinner are someplace in the string of photos of the day. Today was just the kind of touring that lowers your blood pressure, expands your waistline and brings a smile to your face. ... bell for reception, but we were running out of time. I slung the bags over, climbed the wall and jumped over to freedom. Jayne decided then that she would just ring someone's apartment and ask them for the key to the gate. She said she'd give them some money for waking them up. Lesson learnt, knowledge is something best kept to yourself. We finished the night off with a couple of glasses of vino collapso on the balcony as the deluge had finally stopped. Tomorrow we were going to try and get out for some jolly japes on the high seas.

    Tenerife by Tram

Arrived in Teneriffe at 7am. Still pitch black and raining. However we were ashore and in the city by 9am and the skies brightened into a lovely warm day. After walking round for a while to see the sights we found that there was a tram that took a 45 minute ride up high into the hills. This gave us some great views of both the city, the coast and the mountains behind including in the distance the volcano at Tiede. The other end of the tram line ...
