Branson, Missouri, United States rogersusieq... zebra cloth turned to Snuggie, and he himself dozed through all of Illinois, waking briefly to what he thought was lightning, (although it was only Chelsea snapping a photo for future blackmail purposes.)

Making it just to the Illinois/Missouri border, Nick and Chels relied on their trusty road companion, Delores, to guide them to the local K-Mart to purchase a mechanism designed to produce jams from an i-Pod, to the speakers of the car.
<br ...
Mountain Home, Arkansas, United States nickandchelsSpent the day in the caverns. Took 2 tours - Discovery and Dripstone trails. Strolled through large, beautifully lighted rooms with handrails and paved trails where we saw glistening formations like stalactites, stalagmites, columns and where flowstones are still changing. These crystalline formations are the result of minerals deposited by dripping water.
Mountain View, Arkansas, United States socksMusic is an integral part of Mountain View culture. Daily musicians gather around the Courthouse square for impromptu jam sessions - folk style. People bring their own instruments and join in.Enjoyed the Irish Step Dancers at the famous Ozark Folk Center.
Mountain View, Arkansas, United States socksMoved to a farm in an old school bus. No house on the farm. Lived in the bus until my dad built 2 shacks and an outhouse. Took a bath once a week in a big metal wash tup and shared the water with my 2 brothers and sister. 1 at a time of course while the others held up a sheet so the cars passingby on the dirt road couldn't see us.
Mountain View, Arkansas, United States bobby.ray... in would have been really nice if it was 1987. It was really hot and humid outside and unfortunately our hotel's AC unit wasn't quite up to par. To cool off we took a dip in the rustic looking pool. Although old, it did do the trick. After swimming, we took a walk down by the lake to view the sunset. It was very pretty. A nice end to a long day of traveling.
Norfork Lake, Arkansas, United States karli... Petrol has gone from US $2.79 per gallon when we set out from Miami to over US $3.00 a gallon and that's all you see on the news; apart from the war etc. Still find it hard to believe that this surreal place is only a 6 hour drive from the Mississippi Delta where there are no rules and every other county sells beer on ice, ready to go, at the gas station! Check out the picture of the sign which was in our motel room, as I said they are god fearing, suspicious folk around these woods.
Mountain View, Arkansas, United States snookymummaI have found it too difficult to continue with my blog, limited access to libraries and time to rest or type and I must take the latter. I will now be signing off for the remainder of the trip. I have three weeks remaining and I have begun the steep Ozark mountains ...
Marshfield, Missouri, United States curiouspete... Philly at 12.00 noon, where we got some food (being Dunken Donuts) for our kids. Jumped on the 12.45 train to Lansdale and was picked up and dropped back at camp by 4.00pm. We had an hour before we had to be back working so most of us relaxed in the pool or played touch rugby. Then it was back to the reality of camp and all it had to offer, for most of us we still wanted to be back in Atlantic City, we all went to dinner and then got ready for our evening activity.... which was ...
Camp Green Lane, Pennsylvania, United States travelledkiwiIt's amazing what traffic will due to travel plans. We had planned to take I-44 across Missouri but the cars were backed up for miles. The joy of traveling without any real goal is that you can always make quick changes. So we did. We took a small back road down into Arkansas and then decided to take Hwy 62 across the northern part of the ...
