At last another blog

A lot has happened since our last blog, we returned to the UK from Holland on Monday, Tuesday we went into London for a days sightseeing. We did the London Eye which is absolutely amazing, gives you a 360 view of all of London. At its highest point you are 135 metres above the Thames. Doesnt sound particularly high but believe us it sure feels high when your standing in a little glass pod. After doing the Eye we then walked across the bridge past the houses of parliament and Big Ben, past a T...

Greetings Up again fairly early - bags out front of the room at 7am. Had another great breakfast but this was full English and cooked. Started out at 8am but within half an hour we got caught in a traffic jam caused by a serious traffic accident. We were in the queue about 40 minutes before the driver could get on to a detour on some side roads. Great weather again. Well- talk about getting a round peg into a square hole. We went along country lanes made for a tractor one way and were hitting...

Fun trip to Murrayfield for Scotland v Fiji.....lots of happy Scottish faces after the win, boys in fancydress, stag parties galore, chuc-chucs ferrying folks home in the rain, great cocktails in an Italian Jazz bar and running to catch last train back home on a busy busy Saturday night train heading South.

... walked along tryring to find something to eat, we found something peculiar. No matter what college campus you are on, there are some things that never change. First, you will always find a girl in costume, throwing up on a street corner and a friend by her side, rubbing her back. Second, there will always be some sort of themed party with the partygoers dressed up in costume, hanging out at a bar. Third, the restaurants that are open late are always pizza joints ...

... which was OK with me).

Then during the last 1/2 hr of wandering of the day I was drawn by the sound of drums and a growing crowd. Getting closer, I saw a whole group of burly tattooed men with long hair flying and kilts swaying while they danced and drummed - my kinda show! And their music was amazing too ;) I'd been hoping to pick up some good Scottish music with pipes, but so far all I'd found that appealed was a bagpipe ...

Edinburgh - Day 6: No Show Nessie and the Hwy thru

... without either eating them myself or breaking them into a zillion pieces. We took about 30 minutes to look around and I finally found a couple of things that I thought would work. After a quick bathroom visit (no charge, thank you!) we stepped over to the ice cream bar and bought some water, then went back outside. I was reluctant to get back on the bus, and Chris, who I’d guess was in his 50’s, was holding court with the pretty 20-something girls outside of the ...

... movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. We stopped at the Troccachs - which was a beautiful hilly country area. We met 'Hamish' a Highland Cow which was full of brown locks of hair that covered his entire face - the kids thought Hamish was cool and got their pics taken with him. We saw Rob Roy McGreggor country - he started his life out as a sheep stealer and hustler - nothing of the movie with Liam Neeson was true and ...

... because of all the different things you could see from arms and armor to the history of its capture and use for the past millenium. We went out to this pub that night called the three sisters (the six tits to the locals). We met up with some of Tylers friends from work Tom and Andrew. They took us under their wing with several bottles of wine and tried to teach about hitting on women. quite funny. Met a really nice group of German girls who tried ...
