Edinburgh Apartments

... already know all the best spots!

We plan to visit Edinburgh before going onto London. As my husband is of Scottish heritage. I need MUCH advice on getting around Edinburg, Scotland without driving ourselve. We only have a few days before we head down to London so we would like to maximize our time there without being frantic

... without it but I guess a lot of people will have lots of memories of their time there.
I had thought of going to Raith Rovers game but changed my mind the day before traveling - good job I did - the Raith match was cancelled!

Anyway - enjoyed the game. Ended 2-0 to Alloa who now move into the promotion contention in Scottish League two.

... is screaming for mercy. Found some very nice cookies though, yum!

Time for some wandering! We didn't hit the Royal Mile unfortunately, but we did get a good wander up and down Princes Street. Waiting around in Pizza Hut for some food, just having a general laugh.. who needs to be touristy when you get the full-on local effect?

And the best part was.. SNOW! Very random and very light, but it was there :)

... we ended up singing karaoke at a pub which was still a lot of fun :) I've met some really nice people and I'm trying to not be the awkard shy kid but I don't know how well that's working out. ... taking in a bit more wandering and shopping before heading back to the car and heading out of town. We did stop briefly at Murrayfield and into the Scotland Shop where I ended up buying some teeshirts and even convinced Soph to let me buy her a Scotland top - very fetching, although I'm not sure how her Aussie mates will take it! A lovely breack donw in Edinburgh, and back off to Aberdeen to enjoy some more time with Mum and Dad!

... some relaxation, although not really big news....... My regular appearances at whistle binkies has garnered some nice reviews too!! Getting back on the stage has been great, and a little surreal playing in a different country, especially to a bunch of drunk guys in kilts and their girls. More later next week about the coastal trek (very much looking forward to it)....I'm scanning the skies to see if the weather by some miracle will be clear for departure.
