Happy New Year Everyone!

It is high time that we contribute to our travel blog and prove that we are still alive and kickin' here in Shanghai!

We had a break from Asia for about 5 weeks as we headed home to NH for the holidays. We were able to spend some time with our boys, our friends and spent a quick weekend in Hamilton with our families. It was so wonderful to see everyone again.

me and there I was returning from my morning run realizing I HAD to make a
decision about where to travel. I vowed this term I wouldn’t waste anymore
golden travel moments, but also have myself on a solid budget between now and
home!...so I had finally settled on departure for Dehang!

... Drunken fish are literally pieces of fish soaked in alcohol and vacuum packed. They have multiple kinds of drunken fish! Our final stop was at a silk place. We saw the different stages of silk worms and how they collect the silk from the cocoons in very fine threads and then twist them together into thicker strands. They showed us the difference between mixed fabrics, fake silk and real silk. If you try to burn silk it will only form a hard edge ...
