Lovely first floor suite with views across the lake and mountains. Dinner in the restaurant was lamb (for Karen) and steak for me, accompanied by very nice couple of reds (Merlot for Karen, Pinot Noir for me). Jess, our waitress was great and very chatty.

I'm now more inclined to believe that fishing involves more luck than skill. But I still couldn't really do it ;) And then off course I did more walking. Concerned I'm in danger of wearing my legs down to a stump at this rate. My poor body musty be wondering what's going ...

... nice but it doesn't feel like my birthday. It feels like February/March time. I spoke to home and had them all sing to me - you can't quite beat that and my grandparents left me a little video over Skype which was very lovely. I Skyped home and opened my cards and presents on my bed just like I'd have done if I was at home and it's true that birthday present opening time sufficiently dwindles the older you get. Nevertheless it ...
