Lovely first floor suite with views across the lake and mountains. Dinner in the restaurant was lamb (for Karen) and steak for me, accompanied by very nice couple of reds (Merlot for Karen, Pinot Noir for me). Jess, our waitress was great and very chatty.

So, we awoke to blue skies and a possibility of a helicopter flight. By 10.00 (our scheduled flight time) the clouds had moved in, but we were still able to take off. What a stunning flight. We flew over the Franz Josef glacier and then landed at the top of Fox Glacier. The pilot was great with a commentary about the glaciers. He took photos of us …

We left our hotel in Queenstown today at about 10:30am and were happy to be en route to a different location. 10 minutes up the road Steve could not remember seeing his phone so we had to make a return trip to Queenstown........
Our first stop was half an hour away in Arrowtown, a quaint heritage village. This pretty town sprang from the 1860's …

He's usually a bit of a joker so I thought he was joking until I looked up at the roster and saw that I didn't start work until 4 and I was only 11:30. I'd been told to come in for 12:15 a few weeks ago and then not told me they'd changed my shift. I was most definitely annoyed but I just chilled for 5 ...

... got back because I'm such a good friend like that. I quickly finished getting ready as I'm off out to see my friend from Auckland for a quiet one and then off out with a few of the girls from work. One of them is the miserable moody one who kept me up until half 2 the other morning and has now been left broken hearted by her boyfriend so no doubt she will be on the prowl. I think I'll have a few and come home as I'm not really feeling it and I also have ...

... little too heavy because my dimwit partner insisted on it and I have slighlty strained my shoulder. But I managed to continue with the exercise. We practiced them and I could already do them as I've been taught before. Then our workout of the day was Turkish get ups for a minute and butterfly sit ups for a minute for 10 minutes. I only ever managed 2 turkish get ups each minute but blitzed the sit ups so all in all I got 99 reps. So close, yet so far. ...
