Lovely first floor suite with views across the lake and mountains. Dinner in the restaurant was lamb (for Karen) and steak for me, accompanied by very nice couple of reds (Merlot for Karen, Pinot Noir for me). Jess, our waitress was great and very chatty.

... 3 of us on the boat plus the skipper and we were out for 2 hrs and caught 3 fish. Would have been 6 but every time I tried to reel it in it dropped off the bait (not a hook) thing. I'm now more inclined to believe that fishing involves more luck than skill. But I still couldn't really do it ;) And then off course I did more walking. ... nice but it doesn't feel like my birthday. It feels like February/March time. I spoke to home and had them all sing to me - you can't quite beat that and my grandparents left me a little video over Skype which was very lovely.
