Lovely first floor suite with views across the lake and mountains. Dinner in the restaurant was lamb (for Karen) and steak for me, accompanied by very nice couple of reds (Merlot for Karen, Pinot Noir for me). Jess, our waitress was great and very chatty.

So, we awoke to blue skies and a possibility of a helicopter flight. By 10.00 (our scheduled flight time) the clouds had moved in, but we were still able to take off. What a stunning flight. We flew over the Franz Josef glacier and then landed at the top of Fox Glacier. The pilot was great with a commentary about the glaciers. He took photos of us …

We left our hotel in Queenstown today at about 10:30am and were happy to be en route to a different location. 10 minutes up the road Steve could not remember seeing his phone so we had to make a return trip to Queenstown........

... see his large shadow approaching and the bus drove straight by. Oh I did smile smugly to myself that he'd missed it. I even text him saying "hahahhahahaa you've missed the bus, sucks to be you". It gave me so much smug satisfaction. I came home and Dais and I had some marvellous Chinese style monkfish for dinner and tonight we are off out. Yes out. We haven't been out in so long and there's a silent disco in town so we thought we would grace everyone with our beautiful presence. Ero Tergum ...

... our phones taking photos and videos in an attempt for the group to slow down and listen to the music. It occasionally worked and people did stop, listen and give. It's human nature at the end of the day to stop and see what all the commotion is about when others are there. You just need to get the crowd there in the first place. After each song we clapped and cheered loudly. Young families walking by would give their little ones a few coins to place in her frisbee and it reminded me ...

Bitchy breakfast and an afternoon of baking

... The facility sounds more corrupt than North Korea but I shall try not to enter into any of the politics there. We finally made a move after the staff had cleared and reset every table but ours. I gave the girl who was leaving a little 'Good Luck' card because I'm really cute like that. After that I left and walked to town to buy some bits for this afternoons activity - baking. Tomorrow I have another staff meeting at work and we all have to make and ...
