Lovely first floor suite with views across the lake and mountains. Dinner in the restaurant was lamb (for Karen) and steak for me, accompanied by very nice couple of reds (Merlot for Karen, Pinot Noir for me). Jess, our waitress was great and very chatty.

So, we awoke to blue skies and a possibility of a helicopter flight. By 10.00 (our scheduled flight time) the clouds had moved in, but we were still able to take off. What a stunning flight. We flew over the Franz Josef glacier and then landed at the top of Fox Glacier. The pilot was great with a commentary about the glaciers. He took photos of us …

We left our hotel in Queenstown today at about 10:30am and were happy to be en route to a different location. 10 minutes up the road Steve could not remember seeing his phone so we had to make a return trip to Queenstown........

... girl said why not try a hand stand. Well I was rather nervous, I don't think I've done one in like twelve years. We had the wall to keep us up right but still - how was I going to get up there. I did somehow and held it there for 20 seconds each time. Who do I think I am? The Russian gymnast Olga Korbut or something? Our workout was mean. But it will definitely allow me to enjoy my weekend. In pairs we had to do the WOD which was a partner chipper one where we ...

... tissues in there too and I must have dropped my keys somewhere accidentally when I got a tissue out. I told my supervisor I thought I'd left it in the cleaning room, he checked for me but it wasn't there. As I went to rotate Thomas around I quickly asked him if he'd seen my key and whistle to which he replied (rather shiftily if you ask me) a no. So he walked around and literally two minutes later my supervisor comes over to me and says "Thomas found your landward" I took ...

Sometimes being glam is just not practical

... of kids goggles on and have a quick look on the pool floor but failed to find it. I retraced all my steps and looked very carefully but it was no use. Losing my earring coupled with my cheetah-like scratch marks from the power cleans against my necklace has led me to believe that sometimes being glam is just not practical. All in all a busy day, I didn't get back in until 6:15pm exactly 12 hours after I woke up. I have a very strong feeling I will sleep well tonight. Ero Tergum ...
