Today was going to be relaxing, no excuses. We cycled into
Sion and caught a train up to the tourist center of Zermatt which is famous for
its amazing view of the Matterhorn.
The train trip was uneventful and we sat back like rich
people watching the scenery go by from air-conditioned comfort. One change of
train at Visp and two hours later we were in Zermatt.

After about a 10 minute trip we arrive back into our hotel town of Wengen
where I make for a quick visit to my hotel room and then back out to catch the
train down to Lauterbrunnen.
Its only a 15 minute trip on this train and as soon as I arrive in
Lauterbrunnen its off to my best Swiss coffee shop for my usual mocha

The conditions were slightly soft but I was able to keep my speed such that I was able to carve two lines down two thirds of the run. JJ's turns have really come on and he looked so relaxed on this and other runs today no matter what the conditions.
It was a great ski day, especially as we did not pay for the pass!
After eating pizza for lunch JJ went of on his 'run slides' and played around in the softening ...
... back at the hotel I freshened up and headed into town for some thread. In town was a temperature readout and it showed the afternoon temperature at just before 4pm was 17degC. Saas Grund is very pretty and I took a few photographs as I waited for the bus back.
Running repairs on the coat have been completed and JJ is up for another day on the slopes.
Certainly we had the best of the skiing by being at the top of the mountain early in the morning and we will try to do the same ...
