... not as overwhelming as the British Natural History Museum. It also has many interactive displays specially for kids ( even our big kids loved them!). It is nowhere as busy as the Castle so we were able to enjoy the various areas without feeling the pressure of lots of people. Anyone visiting Edinburgh with kids should definitely visit here. ... the road and waited 20minutes for the next bus. I finally got off at my stop almost 2 hours later. It's was now just after 7pm, I was cold so thought I would use the bath and soak to warm the bones. Good plan but apparently one of the hot water boilers was broken and would not be fixed till the next day. Didn't find this out until I was in the bath trying to warm up, didn't work. Time to crank the heater and go to the restaurant for a code of reds to warm ...
