    ... great. We played games that we brought from NZ (thanks Margaret) and watched a movie on the laptop (thanks Shane).
    We actually managed to have a good sleep. The sea was calm with only a slight role, engine vibration was minimal so all in all a great crossing..
    We rolled off the ship in great shape and pleased to be Italy for the last phase / month of our adventure. ...

    ... to the hotel and they tell us that we can drive to it along the promenade to then park in the garage ....so we do! The hotel is pretty grand and set in a glorious location with stunning sea views and, yes, we have a sea view room!
    We enjoy dinner at Antico Pizzeria just along the promenade, with an ice cream after from the very busy Gelateria! ...

    ... as a fun fair, and a stage with a band playing Italian music. We walked up to the church and the service was being relayed onto the street. There was a covered stand, which we presumed would hold the statues of the saints in the procession, but we were there for an hour and nothing had happened. We bought some roasted chestnuts and decided to leave about 9.30. There were still families and young people streaming into town when we left.
