... the islands...and istria is all about. So in my opinion the istria region should definitely be top of your list, especially rovinj though its really not the easiest to get to! No trains only buses and no real direct lines...well thats kinda all croatia im finding...unfortunately transportation hassles are just part of traveling. At least its worth it when you make it there!

rainy weather...im sure it would be muchhh nicer here if it was actually sunny... o well...theres this pretty big amphitheater here..not shabby..also the james joyce museum,..guess he spent alot of time here..a big arch..istria is the area known for their truffles as well...i tried some truffle cheese mmmmm delish ...

It is a bit run-down looking in parts, in a kind of post-Soviet kind of way: but lively and bustling, and with a very decent end-of-summer climate.
