... really cool, the lower deck of the ferry took bikes and scooters only. There were lines of racks with tie down straps for bikes. I've never seen anything like this. So awesome! ... for 12 Euro and he offered free champagne. Turns out he wasn't saying champagne, he was saying some sort of beer which Liz doesn't like because she doesn't like beer. And since we weren't understanding the "English" menu we ended up not getting a three course meal anyways. It all turned out good though because we did get an entrée, dessert, and beer for 10 Euros.

... time with my nose pressed against the window watching the English countryside whizz past. I did my knitting while we went through the very long, very dark tunnel as there was really nothing to see until we emerged into sunshine and France.
The country side was wonderful, very pretty and very green. Every now and then there were little houses dotted around an old church. I loved every single bit of it while Jo had a little nap.
