      ... museum showing how the place was decorated and lived in in times gone past. We had very welcome refreshments here, served by some beautiful Thai ladies. Not sure what the tea was we had to drink but couldn’t really say no!

      It's 2 p.m. dated December, 13 and I just got back to the hotel after the sightseeing with tour organized by my hotel, since this morning at 8.30 am; unfortunately the breakfast in the hotel (two chapatis, or pancakes with red hot and yoghurt white sauce , two toast with butter and jam and cappuccino) arrived late in the room just as the tour bus; I have asked to wait 5 minutes and it instead has gone just as I descended. On Koh Phi Phi there was a community of Burmese sea gypsies building a very intricate large wooden boat on the beach, it was an offering to the Sea Gods for safe fishing and seamanship.       finished at dentist, went downstairs and had lunch in food court.

      Megan and I went for facial, Don took Mae back for a sleep, Mike went for swim.

      Met back at hotel, rested, then walked up Bangla Rd, to beach, met Megan and Don, had a swim with Mae, back to their hotel Nap, bought snacks and drinks at 7-11 on the way, sat on balcony till 8:30, looked in markets on way back, bought 2 beach towels.

      ... we organised a few pints before we even thought about organising our accommodation. After around two hours we said we better drop the bags into the hostel before we lost track of things. The hostel was on the main Bangala strip on the top floor of an old disused shopping centre.
