      ... wearing about 20 hats on his head, coconuts, mens shoes. They were no where near as persistent as I remember from Bali back in the 80's though. Hell of a way to make a living, I didn't see any of them make a sale. We had lunch at a lovely little restaurant with a fabulous view of the beach, how could it not be?       Sardinia is divine...it reminds me of so many different things. The landscape is very beautiful and predominately made up of 3 colours: amazing, crystal clear glorious azure blue water, grey rugged granite hills and mountains and muted green shrubs. That's pretty much Sardinia. The architecture here is very different from anything else we have seen around Italy. It has a very Mexican/Spanish feel about it. ...

      This morning finds me sitting outdoors on the hotel terrace, looking out over the beautiful blue waters of an inlet across to the rugged hills of Sardinia. Not a cloud in the sky. A great place to sit and write yesterday's blog! We were up early at Livorno - had to be at the ferry station by 6.30am. The hotel was lovely, despite the blocked plumbing and the slight (!) flooding problem we had with morning showers. Reception called to ask if we had ...

      ... and olives. I was getting the olives from the .ittle man at the deli counter and Jeff was getting a cheese from the fridge area. He just looked at Jeff and wa e his hand down with a NOH! and suggested he get his cheese, which we did.
      Weather has beeb bellissimo, buena excellent.

      ... Nuraghe Sait'Antine. WOW. It was a village built by bronze age people. It had many smal mound like huts for the plebs and a central stronghold for the cheif and upper class.
      These villages were built 1700/2000 bc. The central tower was a dome structure with three levels and each level had a dome ceiling (dry stone construction). So dome ground floor, up stairs around the perimeter to next level on ...
