... br> The next morning we packed our bags and headed to the port to get on our ferry to Athens. And that’s where I am right now on the ferry. Im a little wary of what we will find in Athens due to this big recession. Out on the islands I think there is a lot of cash flow so its not even noticeable out there. All we have seen on TV here is people lined up outside banks.

We arrived in Athens via the Metro which was an experience ...

... been stuck here at the Greek border now for two hours watching them jump on and off getting spooked by the cops has become the entertainment. ... so sadly they dont cater for giant hoofs like mine.

That afternoon a small group of us took a bus out to Cape Sounion. We stopped for a buffet meal along the way at a small family run restaurant on the coast. As for the rule about not swimming ona full stomach we took a blond eye and spent a few leisurely hours at the beach soaking up the sun. I had almost forgotten what sun felt like and having left behind 10 degree weather in London the 30 degree weather in ...

    Greek Isles Cruise

A travel blog entry by trevorrose on Jun 22, 2012

FRIDAY 22nd JUNE 2012 GREEK ISLES CRUISE Leisurely start this morning, didn't have to be at the port of Piraeus to catch the cruise ship until eleven o'clock! Last night we put all our cruise luggage into one case and also put some gear in an overnight bag! The other case will be stored at the Novotel until our return! That way we won't have to fit an extra case into our cabin! We set off to the port passed some of the infrastructure built for the Olympic ...
