    It's morning, no story yet but having lunch with my daughter Sonya at La Gloria, no , that's not heaven, nor is it that sleepy little town down in South Texas by the border. It's a Mexican food restaurant at the old Pearl Brewery grounds. Is it any good or just ok, tell ya later,at least my thoughts. Oh, in San Antonio,Texas ( home of the Alamo.     ... nice, although an awful lot of restaurants, which also all seemed to be serving the biggest portions! We had a nice walk round, before heading back to camp. This morning we are heading to look round the Alamo, before heading to Austin.     ... three hours in the rain we ended up with nothing. Nancy had another supper waiting for us when we arrived back at the camp. She had prepared pork loin in mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, mustard greens, and biscuits with southern gravy. Nancy had also made a multilayer dessert which was delicious.     ... hit the road by 1000 down I-45 for the 45 - 60 minute drive to the port terminal.

    There are a couple of surprises in store for everyone, but I can’t tell you now because they reads the posts as well! You’ll be advised as they unfold I promise.

    It really is an easy drive to San Antonio, impossible to get lost from Houston. After checking into our hotwire special hotel - it must have been one of the grandest hotels in San Antonio back in the day, although not today!
